The Elie Wiesel Research Series (EWRS) explores the work of Holocaust survivor, writer, and human rights activist Elie Wiesel (1928–2016) from an academic perspective. It focuses particularly on his complete works, which consist of autobiographical writings, novels, plays, biblical-Talmudic-Hasidic writings, as well as essays on political and ethical topics and human rights issues. The series highlights the innovative and rich international research on Elie Wiesel by bringing together scholars and topics from various countries and disciplines. It contextualizes the publication of the complete German edition of Elie Wiesel's works, the Elie Wiesel Werke (EWW).
