The book series “Archaeology in Banat” is primarily intended for the publication of excavation results in monographic form.

This platform also provides a forum for various works of monographic scope or conference contributions with a narrower focus on the prehistory and early history of the Carpathian Basin. At the same time, this series aims to present the cultural history of the Banat, a region that today is divided between the three countries of Romania, Serbia and Hungary, in its entirety and with reference to the neighbouring regions in south-eastern Europe.
